An important element of maintaining a healthy lifestyle is ensuring you get adequate sleep. Without sufficient sleep, most people become irritable and short tempered. Lack of sleep can also have some much more serious consequences; it’s been linked to an increased risk of major illnesses such as: cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
For some people, the problem is the quality of sleep, not the duration. For others, difficulty falling asleep can be the roadblock to getting necessary rest. Although we’re intrinsically programmed to sleep, some of us still struggle with it.
