Many of us hit 2PM and suddenly find ourselves ready for a nap, instead of ready to attack our next task. A common reaction is to hit the vending machine for a chocolate pick-me-up. Unfortunately, the chocolate bar can easily translate into extra pounds, and the energy you’re looking for probably won’t come from the chocolate bar.
 
Nutritionist, Leslie Beck, suggests you reach for protein instead of sugar. According to new research, protein stimulates brain cells which can make you feel more alert. Try nuts, edamame, yoghurt or cheese.
