What are you doing . . .

What are you doing . . .

. . .to to optimize your health and benefits choices?

Benefit plan costs are rising – at the same time as we are expecting our benefit plan to do more for us.

How often have you heard the phrase “What do you mean the _____ drug (or_____ treatment) is not covered?”

Health – it’s all we’ve got, and based on the assumption that:

  1. We want to optimize our health and physical capabilities as long as we can, and
  2. Our benefit programs provide a vehicle to do that by carrying most or all of the associated costs

. . .doesn’t it make sense to get informed and stay informed.

Here at BenefitsWorld it’s our objective to provide information about emerging benefit news, trends and sources of information.

Speaking of trends . . . there is an unmistakeable movement towards choice.  Choice in benefits (why does everyone from 21 to 61 have the same benefits plan?) and choices in treatment.  To make those choices – - -you guessed it, we’re going to need information.

Information – like that being covered in the Globe & Mail this week – Powered by Facebook, patients declare war over treatment. Provincial governments respond.
