With the rising cost of living in Canada, the Federal Government has announced increases in the amount of several different Federal government benefits. Employment Insurance (EI) maximum benefits increased from $457 per week in 2010 to $468 per week in 2011.
Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) maximums also increased for 2011. CPP maximum payment rates increased for disability benefit, retirement pension, survivors benefit, children of disabled or deceased contributors, combined survivors & retirement benefits, and combined survivors & disability benefits.
